|Subject: Palestinian worker injured in IOF shooting, settlers steal olive crop Wed Sep 29, 2010 10:47 pm|| |
A Palestinian worker was hit with an Israeli bullet while collecting debris in northern Gaza Strip on Wednesday, medical sources reported.
Adham Abu Salmiya, the spokesman of the military medical services, told the PIC that Mohammed Marouf, 23, was hit with a bullet in his foot.
He added that the young man was taken to hospital with a light to moderate injury.
Israeli occupation forces (IOF) daily target Palestinian workers in northern areas of Gaza and more often than not inflict casualties.
Meanwhile, the IOF troops at dawn Wednesday detained four Palestinians in the West Bank, Yediot Ahronot Hebrew daily reported, adding that three were detained in Al-Khalil and one near Bethlehem.
Zionist settlers attacked olive groves in Awarta village and the outskirts of Qaryut village, both south of Nablus, and stole olive crops after storming a number of houses.
Local sources said that the settlers came from the Itmar settlement mounting horses and carrying batons and long knives and threatened to kill Palestinian citizens.
